Alex Loper
Owner/Machinist
From age 19 Alex has been machining. Starting as a manual machinist in a mold repair shop, later finding a true passion for manufacturing. His passion grew in an aerospace job shop where he became an efficient CNC programmer for multi-axis machines. He then furthered his experience in a prototype shop, becoming the lead programmer for a large corporation. Now, following his dream of owning his own machine shop.
Brother Speedio solves a couple challenges that we have experienced at Loper Machine. With critical axial tolerances and long runtimes in sensitive parts the Speedio has our back in providing consistent feature depth and excellent stability. Combine repeatability with extremely fast tool changes and a dual pallet system, we have found a winning combo.
Bringing new machines into the shop is an example of our commitment to provide the solutions that our customers need. Like the SPEEDIO line of machine tools Loper Machine is all about efficiency and performance.

Loper Machine Internship
At Loper Machine we offer an internship for anyone who is willing to learn CNC Machining. Formally known as the MOE Jr Academy, in partnership with TITANS of CNC ACADEMY, interns spend 130 hours in the shop learning about CNC machining. Starting with the basics and ultimately machining their own project interns are taught CAM (computer aided machining) using MASTERCAM and mentored by Alex throughout the process. They get hands on and dive deep into theory and best practices in a machine shop.

This level of exposure and experience is unique in the industry, very few shops open their doors and bring students into the shop floor to learn from experts.
